MailGuard ("we", "us") provides email verification services. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under GDPR and similar laws.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, company, role, and authentication credentials.
- Verification data: email addresses you submit for verification.
- Usage data: aggregate metrics (jobs run, credits consumed, API calls).
- Billing data: handled by PayPal — we never store full card details.
How we use data
- To deliver verification results back to you.
- To bill for usage and prevent abuse.
- To improve product accuracy through aggregate, anonymized metrics.
What we never do
- We do not sell, share, or rent your uploaded email lists.
- We do not aggregate verified addresses into shared databases.
- We do not send marketing email to addresses you verify.
Retention
- Verification results are retained for 90 days, then permanently deleted.
- Account data is retained while your account is active. Closing your account removes all associated data within 30 days.
Your rights
- Access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from Settings.
- Lodge complaints with your local data protection authority.
